The Encompix Shop Floor Data Collection system is designed to improve and simplify the process of recording labor, material, and production data. The Encompix bar coded shop paperwork in conjunction with bar code readers enable production personnel to record both labor and material. Automating time collection eliminates the need to manually calculate time cards and separate out job time. The time is collected with the simple act of signing on to the system and logging on to the job. The labor transaction is then collected and posted to the job, becoming immediately available to the Encompix payroll module. Quantity complete, rework, and scrap data is also captured updating job status and costing in real-time, without the delays associated with manual time cards.
